Using Dream Boards to Design Your New Life By Kalpana Vasu

Updated: Mar 2, 2020

What is the purpose of making a Board or a Vision board? Does it really work?

Isn’t it just a poster board with pictures on it? How can just cutting and pasting images help

visualize and in turn manifest your dreams? Can you really reach your goals using a vision board?

I have been using vision boards for a while now and it amazes me to see how powerful it is. My

clients who have been at my workshop have shared how they have been able to manifest their

goals with such ease.

Vision Boards can be used to design any particular area of your life or many areas of your life such

as career goals, fitness and health goals, relationship goals and spiritual goals.

So how is it that a poster board with pictures on it can become such a powerful tool? What are the necessary steps required to use the vision board as a successful manifesting tool?

1. Have clarity on what you want.

It is such a simple question but when we actually ask ourselves about what exactly do we want, we often find ourselves struggling with clarity on what we actually want. Thus, the first step in preparing our vision board is having a clear vision about what we want.

2. Writing down your new story.

This is so important because it’s easy to forget or feel disheartened about not reaching our goals yet. Write the story like as if you already have what you are trying to manifest. This helps with beginning to feel how we would when we do achieve our goals. This feeling like we have already received that, which we are trying to manifest, is an important key.

3. Representing your goals with pictures.

Our minds respond strongly to visual stimulation. When you use pictures to represent your goals, you

actually stimulate your emotions. Your emotions are the vibrational energy that activates the law of attraction. Find pictures that symbolize the experiences, feelings and possessions you want to attract into your life and place them on your vision board. Use magazines, images from the Internet, pictures of you and anything that speaks to you. You can post affirmations; quotes and inspirational words that make you feel good and inspire you.

4. Placing the vision board where you see it every single day.

It is important to place the vision board in a place where you can see it every day so that you are reminded of your dreams or goals. Looking at your goals and dream regularly will get you excited and you are likely to get more ideas around taking concrete steps towards achieving those goals.

5. Visualizing your ideal life on a regular basis is important

Because visualization activates the creative powers of your subconscious mind and programs your brain to notice the available resources that were always there but escaped your notice. Through the law of attraction, visualization also magnetizes and attracts you to the people, resources, and opportunities you need in order to achieve your goals.
